Rossi’s VR46 team has collaborated with Ducati, and this collaboration is for three years and starts from 2022. It was Yamaha who offered a discount to VR46 on their bikes.

And it was superior to the one offered by Petronas SRT. However, Rossi decided to go with Ducati.

“We are delighted to have reached this agreement with VR46 for the next three years.

Their Academy has always worked seriously and with outstanding professionalism, allowing many riders to experience Moto2 and Moto3.

Today they can be proud to have brought three young riders of great talent. VR46 has also shown that it can manage a successful team in Moto3 and Moto2.

Therefore we will strive to provide the maximum technical support to their new team in MotoGP.

Convinced they have found in VR46 an ambitious and motivated partner like us, with a common goal to achieve great results together.” said Ducati’s General manager, GigiDall’lgna.

Further, we will see Luca Marini on the factory bike while his team Marco Bezzecchi will be on 2021 Desmosedici.

The partnership also means we could see a total of eight Ducati bikes on the grid.
