Ducati-Streetfighter-V4-SP-Gallery

In this brave new world of crossover motorcycles, streetfighter styling is more significant than ever.

Just look at the KTM 1290 Super Duke R Street, Honda CB1100R, and Kawasaki Z400—the same trend with different names. Ducati isn’t about to be left behind and has just unveiled the 2020 Streetfighter V4.

For nearly a decade, the term “super naked” defined a species of motorcycles that bridged the gap between Ducati’s lithe Monster line and the V-twin-powered “standard” bikes that preceded it.

The Bologna brand gave life to that super naked beast, in the form of its U.S.-bound Streetfighter platform, in 2009.

Never a brand to stagnate, Ducati is already planning a more powerful version of its Streetfighter V4 for 2022.

Ducati engineers have begun using the SP designation and have fortified the engine for more power.

As per the EPA fuel economy and compliance documents, the Ducati will add the Streetfighter V4 SP variant in 2022. The SP be the third model in the Streetfighter lineup alongside the V4 and V4S.

The Streetfighter V4 SP will have the same 1,103cc motor displacement and calibrate to 208 horsepower and 90.4 lb-ft of torque.

Unlike the Panigale V4 SP, the Streetfighter V4 SP will, however, get more notable upgrades.

With the Streetfighter’s track-oriented SP variant hitting the market, Ducati will use this opportunity also to expand its product lineup.

Further, we will also see the Brembo MCS radial master cylinder and Brembo Stylema R callipers with Carbon fibre wheels, making it a more track-worthy weapon.

As per Ducati, the carbon wheels save three pounds, and Brembo Stylema R clampers help reduce the brake fluid temperature.

While on the other hand, the Brembo 19.21 MCS helps riders adjust the performance with variable distance and ratio adjustment.

With a stunning Panigale V4 SP already existing, we could see the same paint scheme on the new Streetfighter V4 SP making it more beautiful.

However, the real question is with the entry of the new Ducati Streetfighter V4 SP in 2022, will we also see

  • Multistrada V4 SP model alongside and
  • The company’s first Scrambler SP model.
