In the past few years, Honda’s core motorcycle lineup has changed quite a bit.

The CB1100 was the longest-running bike in Honda’s stable. The model has been around for over 11 years without being replaced by any conventional contemporary models.

There have been a series of unique edition models. And upgrades with the CB1100 Deluxe/EX but nothing permanent to take its place.

However, with the CB1100EX and CB1100RS to be launched soon.We can expect more from this legendary motorcycle.

New editions

They may have dropped the name from the tagline. But the acronym “EX” instead of “EXPRESS” can leave no doubt that these bikes are sporty in every way possible.

The Honda CB1100 has been a success story from the day it was launched. It was a modern take on the air-cooled 1,140 cc engine.

And with its retro styling and built quality, it became an instant hit. The air-cooled four-cylinder engine comes to be known as the VTEC version of the Honda CB750 engine.

But this isn’t going to be the end for the brand as we have heard rumours. About a new Honda CB1100EX and CB1100RS.

It’s sad news for bike lovers worldwide as Honda is likely to end production for the Honda CB1100. The 2010 model looked like an end of its era.

Many people are calling it one of the most beautiful bikes ever made by Honda.

It’s offered in the classic styling that harkens back to a more carefree time. When you’d select your bike based on looks, not features.

These new editions are expected to arrive in limited numbers and will get unique liveries. Honda will also make sure the new CB1100 air-cooled four-cylinder aligns with Euro 5 emission norms.

We are not sure if this new limited edition will arrive in India as Honda may bring this model via the CBU route, increasing the price tag.
