Danilo Petrucci KTM 2021 MotoGP Austria Race

Danilo Petrucci is one of those riders who has a knack for getting into the headlines. Most recently, Petrucci made a bold move by shifting from MotoGP to Dakar.And he is a rider to make a foray into the world of two wheels. 

And he did it with the Dakar Rally and successfully laid down a performance. That cemented why he’s considered one of the most dynamic riders in motorsport. 

With Dakar now behind him. It appears that Petrucci is back in racing and aiming to do what he does best – ride on the road. But his comeback isn’t with the MotoGP or WorldSBK series. Instead, it’s with MotoAmerica.

With the Italian racer linking up with Dark Horse HSBK for races onboard their Ducati Panigale V4 R. The 31-year-old won two MotoGP races in the 2019. And 2020 seasons before signing to Tech3 KTM later trying his hands in Dakar.

Petrucci had been rumoured to negotiate with several WorldSBK teams but seems to have ended up with Dark Horse HSBK.Who, unlike Loris Baz’s squad, will run a factory entry next season.Having a factory entry secured the official support of Ducati Corse.

Danilo Petrucci will be heading back out to the track with the Ducati team. Petrucci has seen fit to try again with Ducati as they have signed him for their factory squad in the MotoAmerica Series.

According to the information collected from Cycle World, the MotoGP test rider is also looking forward to some time in the United States because it’s a place that he’s always been in love with. After his successful and impressive attempt at the 2022 Dakar Rally, the Italian rider holds big dreams.

“It’s a life experience. I have the opportunity to live abroad and ride motorbikes, which I love most. I have always been in love with the United States. And I love the lifestyle over there, the open spaces.”
