McLaren Artura
The McLaren Artura is McLaren’s first series production hybrid model, following their limited edition hybrid models, the P1 and Speedtail. The Artura combines a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 engine with a rear-mounted electric motor, resulting in a combined output of 671 BHP and 720 Nm of torque. The power is transmitted to the rear axle through an 8-speed automatic transmission.
Features
The car features a carbon fibre monocoque construction and has dimensions of 4,539 mm in length, with a wheelbase of 2,640 mm. Its weight stands at 1,498 kg. In terms of design, the Artura maintains the sleek and modern aesthetics typical of McLaren vehicles, with flowing lines, large intakes, butterfly doors, and dual exhausts positioned centrally in the rear fascia.
The Artura offers a digital instrument cluster and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It also has a 7.4 kWh battery with an all-electric range of 31 km and a top speed of 130 km/h. Charging the battery from 0-80% takes approximately 2.5 hours using an external power source.
Drive modes
The Artura offers four drive modes: E-Mode, Comfort, Sport, and Track. In its most aggressive setting, it can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.0 seconds, reaching a top speed of 330 km/h.
The price of the McLaren Artura in India is Rs 5.1 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi). It represents an exciting addition to McLaren’s lineup, offering high-performance capabilities with the benefits of hybrid technology.
