Lexus has unveiled its smallest model to date, the LBX. A hybrid system powers the new SUV and will be available in four atmospheres.
Specs
The LBX is based on the Toyota Yaris Cross-platform and measures 4,190mm long, 1,825mm wide and 1,545mm high. It has a wheelbase of 2,580mm.
The LBX is powered by a 100 kW/36 hp hybrid system that consists of a 1.5-litre three-cylinder petrol engine and an electric motor. The system is mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT).
Lexus claims that the LBX can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 9.2 seconds and has a top speed of 180 km/h. The official fuel economy figures have yet to be released.
The LBX will be available in four atmospheres: Elegant, Relax, Emotion and Cool. Each atmosphere has its own unique interior and exterior design.
Atmospheres
The Elegant atmosphere features a refined and luxurious interior with a focus on comfort. The Relax atmosphere is designed for comfort and relaxation, while the Emotion atmosphere is intended for a more sporty and dynamic driving experience. The Cool atmosphere is created for a more youthful and contemporary look.
The LBX will be available in Europe and selected global markets from early 2024. Prices have yet to be announced.
