The CFMoto 450SR S is an updated version of the 450SR sportbike that incorporates some features from the SR-C21 concept. One of the notable updates is the addition of a single-sided swingarm, initially seen in the idea but omitted from the production model. This new swingarm enhances the bike’s aggressive appearance and showcases stylish alloy wheels.

The bodywork of the 450SR S has also received some revisions, resembling the design of the SR-C21 concept. The fairings have been made more aggressive, and the front now features large winglets that contribute to the sporty appeal of the bike.

While these winglets may be more for aesthetics than functional aerodynamics, they enhance the overall look. Additionally, the bike now sports a short underbelly exhaust pipe, exposing the rear wheel and adding to the bike’s sleek and athletic styling.

New shade

CFMoto has introduced new colour options for the 450SR S, namely Zircon Black and Starlight White. The updated model was initially launched in China and is expected to reach other Asian markets soon.

The updated version is likely to be made available in the U.S. market. In China, the 450SR S is priced at 33,580 Yuan, approximately $4,743. The current generation CFMoto 450SS is priced at $5,499.

Additional details about the pros and cons of the 2023 CFMoto 450SR S:

  • Powerful and smooth 450cc engine: The 450cc engine in 450SR S engine is a liquid-cooled, parallel-twin produces 44 horsepower and 32 pound-feet of torque. It’s not the most powerful engine in its class, but it’s plenty powerful for most riders. The engine is also very smooth, with no noticeable vibration.
  • Lightweight and agile chassis: The 450SR S is a very light bike, weighing only 320 pounds. This makes it very elegant and easy to manoeuvre. The chassis is also well-balanced, contributing to the bike’s overall handling.
  • Sharp handling: The 450SR S handles very well, thanks to its lightweight chassis and well-tuned suspension. The bike is easy to turn and feels very planted in corners.
  • Stylish and modern design: The 450SR S has a chic and contemporary design that will turn heads. The bike features a sleek fairing, sharp LED headlights, and a sporty tail section.
  • A long list of standard features: The 450SR S comes with a long list of standard features, including ABS, traction control, and LED lighting. These features are not typically found on bikes in this price range.

  • The suspension could be better: The suspension on the 450SR S could be better. The front forks are too soft, which makes the bike feel wallowy over bumps. The rear shock is also too mild, which makes the bike feel bouncy over rough roads.
  • Brakes could be more robust: The brakes on the 450SR S could be more powerful. The front brakes are weak, which makes it difficult to stop the bike quickly. The rear brake is also weak, which makes it difficult to control the bike when braking hard.
  • Lack of some features: The 450SR S needs to include some of the features found on more expensive sportbikes, such as a quick shifter and cruise control. These features would be nice to have, but they are optional.

The 2023 CFMoto 450SR S is an excellent option for riders looking for a powerful, stylish sportbike that doesn’t break the bank. It could be better, but it offers much value for the price.
