Wearable technology is a growing trend in motorcycling. Especially among bikers who enjoy a sunnier climate. So, it’s no surprise to see the newest from Cosmo Connected.
The Cosmo Connected app manages the HUD photochromic settings and allows wearers to customize their display. Drivers can select from eight display modes as well as adjust brightness and contrast as desired.
Cosmo Vision is a HUD that projects data into the rider’s field of vision to provide information such as navigation and safety alerts.
Instead of having to look down to read their smartphone or push a button to answer a call. The rider would only need to use their eyes.
This removes the bulk and messiness of current solutions and makes it easier for riders to utilize their devices while still focusing on the road.
It has three things.
- Gesture Sensor: Scroll through your screens and data with a flick of your hand in front of the sensor above the left lens.
- Active look Technology: Thanks to the non-obstructive “See-Through” technology of Activelook®.Your data is displayed on your right lens in augmented reality without altering your field of vision.
- Smart Glasses: Thanks to the combination of photochromic lenses and the light sensor. You maintain an optimal display and perfect readability in all conditions.
Safety and style are equally essential for anyone riding a motorcycle. The Cosmo Vision helmet provides this and allows the rider to stay focused more on the road and less on their smartphone.
Imagine letting go of your smartphone while you’re riding and still being able to get navigation instructions on-time more efficiently!
It’s like a dream that can soon become a reality thanks to Cosmo Vision’s Heads-Up Display eyeglasses. Pairing navigation instructions with a dedicated app, and a helmet-mounted taillight all powered by solar energy.
The project began with the objective to create glasses that combine style with technology. The way we see it, eyewear is an accessory that can be either stylish or sporty. After conducting focus groups, we confirmed that people want both.
So if you’re looking for a sporty frame, you can purchase just the lens and attach it to your favourite sporty pair of glasses. The same goes for buying just the eyeglass frames if you already have a sporty pair of glasses.
The Cosmo Vision gets a 12-hour battery and has a 3 hour recharge time. The glasses arrive with a two-year warranty and cost €489 ($560).
And these glasses will be available in December 2021.
