There’s been much talk about the Honda CB300R ever since it was discontinued in India last year.
There have been discussions on various forums questioning the decision behind omitting the model from Honda’s lineup. And whether bringing it back would be a good idea.
After a successful stint as the top-selling motorcycle at Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India limited’s Big-Wing premium outlets. The Honda CB300R didn’t have much of a lifespan.
Is there any proof of return?
As per the April 2021 figures and as per HMSI, they have dispatched eight units of CB300R to India.
That’s why it would come as no surprise that the Japanese brand is reportedly working on a bigger sibling to the model. Honda CB300R BS6 will be a baby brother to the Honda CB400 market in India while being much lighter than both its siblings.
The Honda CB300R is one of the best budget bikes out there. But it could soon get even better with an updated BS6 version making it more desirable for new and existing buyers.
The bike comes powered by a 286 cc single-cylinder engine expected to calibrate more or less 30 bhp @ 8,000. And 27.4 @ 6,500 of peak torque and will be mated to a six-speed gearbox.
