Honda BENLY : Ⅰ / Ⅱ comparison

  • Engine: EF07M / EF10M
  • Rated output: 0.58kw / 0.98kw
  • Horsepower: 2.8kw (3.8PS) / 3,000rpm
  •  / 4.2kw (5.7PS) / 3,900rpm
  • Torque: 13Nm / 2,000rpm
  •  / 15Nm / 1,500rpm
  • Range: 87km (30km / h)
  •  / 43km (60km / h)

Difference in specifications is about this.

Engine is of a different model, but the commentator (another manufacturer) says that if it is a motor, it is only necessary to change the control, so one or two types do not change much.

So, perhaps, I thought that the engines and motors of I and II were mechanically (almost) the same, and only the ECUs were different. Other specifications are exactly the same.

I thought it was just going to go up, but it was about Honda, and it would be fine-tuning.

By comparison with PCX ELECTRIC

II / PCX

  • Engine: EF10M / EF01M
  • Rated output: 0.98kw
  • Battery: Lithium ion x 2
  • Battery voltage / capacity: 50.4V / 20.8Ah
  • Horsepower: 4.2kw (5.7PS) / 3,900rpm / 5,500rpm
  • Torque: 15Nm / 1,500Rpm / 18Nm / 500Rpm
  • Range: 43km (60km / h) / 41km (60km / h)

Specs are similar. Wow but it is more of PCX it has a sporty specs. Max torque is 500rpm.

There is information that Honda moped and electric motorcycle will be replaced

“We will contribute to the provision of a quieter and cleaner living environment by making efforts to popularize electric motorcycles with the excellent environmental performance so that they will be familiar to more customers.”

This release has this statement

  • Honda mopeds move to electric motorcycles in a few years.
  • When the battery becomes cheaper, an electric motorcycle with fewer parts is more cost-effective.

From this release and past information, it seems that the story of replacing a moped with an electric motorcycle has become quite realistic.

Yamaha has put out a cool concept model, and in Japan, there is a feeling that the motorbike will soon become normal in the moped class.
