Jaguar has made a bold move. By 2025, they’re reinventing themselves to be an all-electric brand. This is not just about being trendy; it’s about looking forward and embracing the future of transportation.

Here’s the scoop on what’s coming up from the iconic carmaker:

  • Flagship Sedan: Jaguar announces a new all-electric flagship sedan, intended as an indirect replacement for the beloved XJ. Unlike the XJ, this limo promises bigger dimensions and a luxurious touch. It will sit on Jaguar’s fresh Electric Architecture (JEA), making it a sibling to the other two electric offerings in the pipeline.

  • Pricing and Performance: Expect your wallet to be lighter by GBP 1,00,000 – GBP 1,25,000 if you want to get behind the wheel of one of these. And it’s not just the price tag that’s impressive. These cars will pack a punch, delivering at least 450 BHP, racing from 0-100 km/h in just 3.0-3.8 seconds, and hitting a top speed of 250 km/h. Range anxiety? Jaguar’s got you covered with a driving range between 620 – 765 km. They also boast four-wheel-drive, four-wheel steering, and a lightning-quick charging capability that juices them up from 10-80% in a mere 13 minutes.

New Look

  • A Whole New Look: The electric limo stands apart with a design we’ve never seen before from the brand. The car stretches approximately 5,575 mm, making a statement with ultra-slim LED lights, a revamped grille, full-width tail lights, and towering 22-inch alloy wheels. Oh, and did I mention? It’s set to feature the longest bonnet ever seen on a Jaguar.

  • Minimalist Interiors: Step inside, and the changes continue. The cabin goes minimalist, with a wraparound display dominating the dashboard. Save for a few buttons on the steering wheel and a dedicated screen for climate control, it’s all about the digital experience. Luxury touches include reclining rear seats, individual screens, and sun blinds to name a few.

  • Built-in the UK: All this innovation comes straight out of JLR’s Solihull plant in the UK. This plant, which currently rolls out the F-Pace and Range Rover models, will soon be the birthplace of Jaguar’s electric vision.

  • Jaguar’s Goal: Rebranding isn’t just about a new look. Jaguar aims to sell 4,000 cars globally every month under their revamped image. It’s ambitious, but if the specs are anything to go by, they’re on the right track.
