KTM has just unleashed an all-new, stripped-down version of the 390 Adventure. It’s intended to be a cost-saving measure by targeting Asian markets, which account for over half of KTM’s volume.

Stripped down

KTM is looking to further expand its reach by bringing the stripped-down version of the 390 Adventure to Asia, which means that it will get even cheaper than it already is for those who haven’t been able to afford what many agree is one of KTM’s best motorcycles.

The KTM 390 Adventure X gets the same 43 hp single-cylinder engine with 27 lb-ft of torque as the rest of the 390 Adventure line but ditches the spoked wheels for 19-17 inch cast wheels in a cost-cutting measure, and these we see on the 390 Adventure lineup upgraded to for 2023.

Further, the KTM 390 Adventure X will miss the Bluetooth-integrated TFT seen on the American model. It will also miss the leaning ABS or traction control. Instead, the new X variant gets the primary LCD screen, which ditches the same interface capability as the TFT. The Dual Channel ABS arrives as standard.

If you want to save money, you can also request an up/down quickshifter from the dealership, as this is an option.

The new KTM 390 Adventure X comes at Rs 337,000 in India (4,100 USD).
