Aprilia’s limited-edition RS 660 Trofeo

Aprilia’s limited-edition RS 660 Trofeo is here, and the company knows that now is the ideal time to unveil it. Sure, in 2023, the 659cc thumper will be three years old, and you’ll probably be riding something entirely different. But don’t let any of that bother you because it has improved. The critical question is: How do you get your hands on one of these bad boys?

This model features a full titanium SC-Project exhaust system that helps it generate 105 horsepower without any significant weight increase. An upgraded chassis and ergonomic adjustments are also included to ensure the rider can fully enjoy this power. It comes via a triple racing clamp with adjustable clip-ons and adjustable rearsets.

Track Focus

Like its forerunner, this new SuperSport takes inspiration from the track but is versatile and suitable for all kinds of riders, with an engine derived from the one used for the RSV4 SuperSport.

The presented RS 660 monocoque chassis and design platform were developed using significant testing on the track. In contrast, the Trofeo version has been built using more premium developmental components and design elements, with an additional focus on more excellent agile handling and stability combined with the latest electronics and braking.

And the latest Trofeo arrives with fully adjustable rear and front suspensions. The front fork is Misano by Andreani cartridges, and the rear shock is now a remote reservoir Ohlins AP948 unit. We also see Brembo brakes and Pirelli Supercorsa V3 SC1 tires.

These special edition machines have several electronic upgrades, including wheelie control and engine braking adjustability. Aprilia Racing explicitly developed the fibreglass front fairing for race use on the RS 660 Trofeo.

Weight

With all these upgrades, the bike dry weighs 337.3 pounds which is 35.3 pounds lighter compared to the stock RS 660 and 28.7 pounds lighter than the dRS 660 Extrema. While Extrema and stock RS 660 are street-legal, Trofeo isn’t.

With a price tag of $21,000, this 2023-model-year RS 660 Trofeo is an entry-level racing machine for all track users. You can book the bike directly on the Aprilia website, and the book starts on April 11, 2023, at 11 a.m. Eastern Time.
