The 1967 Triumph TR6 is one of the most sought-after motorcycles ever. In 1967, Triumph changed very little in the overall appearance of its flagship model, but substantial innovations produced a very different machine from the TR6 Trophy and TR6C Trophy of previous years.

The Triumph TR6 Trophy, aka ” Desert Sled “, was first produced with an oil-injected engine in 1953, with the parallel twin 649 cc (39.6 cu in) four-stroke engine having 34–46 bhp (25–34 kW) @ 6,500 rpm, was designed to compete against the likes of BMW R69. It was a lightweight motorcycle ( 166kg dry) nicknamed the “Desert Sled”. The Triumph TR6 Trophy can reach a top speed of around 100mph.
And now we have a Triumph TR6R Trophy 650cc 1967 on sale, in excellent used condition with a matching engine and frame number. The motorcycle was imported from the USA in 2020.
Perfect condition
In this example, the condition doesn’t look to have been restored. Very original, with only 24244 miles on the clock. The motorcycle starts very quickly, and the engine sounds fantastic, as can be heard in the video. A very usable classic that’s ready to ride! With the 24,244 mi / 39,017 km as milage.
