We’ve got some breaking news for you and show you the first spy shots of a new KTM Supersport bike for 2023. The KTM RC8 street version is based on the 890 Duke, because the prototype uses the familiar tubular frame.

As KTM continues to officially deny a road version of the RC8 C, the supersport model, when it does hit the streets, may well be called the RC 890.

The KTM RC8 for the road will be significantly less radical than the limited RC 8C trackbike which they have sold out within five minutes.

The bike we spied as a prototype is street legal and driven by former MotoGP rider Jeremy McWilliams. The Brembo brake system features brake ventilation á la MotoGP.

The rear shock absorber in the prototype appears to be fully adjustable and relies on a hose-bound reservoir still provisionally flanged to the frame.

Attached to the top of the triple clamp, the RC8 carries a transversely mounted steering damper. The body itself leans heavily on that of the RC8 C with the two vertical air vents and the tank connection.

Even the jagged line in the area of the steering stubs were taken from the track model and can also be found on the upcoming Moto GP bike.
