The Kawasaki W800 has been around for some time now. Announced in 2011.
The retro-ish bike quickly became a favourite of many, thanks to its minimal design and excellent build quality.
The café racer-inspired styling helps you project the aura of a particular Big Daddy Roth-inspired character, and a relaxed riding position aids in this endeavour.
W800 new shade
The W800 is great-looking naked, but we don’t think it came in any colours other than black.
And even then, most people go for the high-contrast red block colours.
Kawasaki seems to agree because its motorcycle shows up in these two colour schemes.
The brighter orange of the right set looks cheerful and would be easy to spot from a distance. Smart move by Kawasaki.
While on our first encounter, the scheme looked more like a deep magenta, the one showcased here certainly appears to be more of a wine-red colour.
The rest differ from those on offer in that both models are painted in glossy black and given gold accents that surround the model’s logo, headlight housing and engine subframe.
The motor remains with 773cc displacement para twin calibrates to 50.9 horsepower at 6,500 RPM and 46.4 pound-feet of torque at 4,800 RPM integrated with a five-speed manual gearbox.
