The Classic 350 dates back to 1931 when Royal Enfield launched it.
The bike was initially assembled in England, then in Tamil Nadu until 1955, after which all units were manufactured at the RE plant in Chennai.
Earlier Classic 350
The Classic 350 featured a full-cradle frame with telescopic front forks and twin rear shocks for a plush ride experience. It also had a Peashooter exhaust fitted as standard for performance.
The Royal Enfield discontinued the Classic 350.
The Royal Enfield Classic 350 is all set to take to the roads once again in India as a complete in house built unit for the first time.
The Classic 350 will build upon the iconic RE design with some new features, an all-new carburettor, a new 3-spoke alloy wheel and a one-person, dual-purpose seat.
Design
The Classic Royal Enfield 350 is all set to arrive. After Royal Enfield revamped the entire Bullet lineup, it was time for the Classic 350 to get a facelift.
The spy shots above reveal the new bike — yes, it may get the same name, Classic 350. The design isn’t exactly new, and given that it does have a classic feel.
We guess, as expected, not much has been changed on the exterior design front.
The Classic also gets a unique single-seat unit, and the pillion footpegs have been moved forwards to make room for a wider rear tyre.
There appears to be chrome adorning the engine section and round headlight, making it all the more presentable.
Though this remains confirmed, an all-new design would be a welcome refreshed addition to the already available models in this series.
Engine
We could see a new RE emblem on the fuel tank. However, the significant changes that we see are in the form of engine and chassis. The new Classic 350 will have a twin-downtube frame.
The engine, too, is now amended and gets a close look. The Classic 350 is rumoured to have the same engine as Meteor 350 air-cooled, single-cylinder 349cc motor with five-speed transmission.
It could also make its way to the USA.
