It’s a case of deja-vu at MotorLand Aragon as World Championship leader Fabio Quartararo took the honours in Practice 3.With the 2019 Rookie class champions displaying competitive pace throughout.
It posed a question at the end of FP2, but Free Practice 3 for the MotoGP Grand Prix of Aragon answered. Fabio Quartararo was again untouchable.
The action
Destroying his lap record with a 1m 46.926s lap on his soft tyres to lead Friday’s action. While some intra-class fierce jockeying for the position had Joan Mir. And Francesco Bagnaia lining up on third and fourth.
From the first session of MotoGP free practise on Friday.With soft rear tyres made a big difference to lap times.
MotoGP leader Fabio Quartararo, who had yet to run his Yamaha once in dry conditions.Took advantage of his new tyres to benefit from the frantic change that saw several riders go quicker.
Aleix Esparagaro was second on his Aprilia.While Alex Rins and Johann Zarco missed the Qualifying 1.
After getting his hands on Aprilia,.Vinales was in the top-20 briefly in FP2 before making it top 20.
On Saturday, his best lap was set on his final run in FP3.Finishing just outside the top 10 in 17th (+0.863s).Cal Crutchlow, who replaced Vinales at Yamaha. Stood 12th with +0.427s.
