Peugeot to bring the New Pulsion Evo

Peugeot Motocycles is making a significant return to the fiercely competitive 125cc GT scooter segment with the launch of the all-new Peugeot Pulsion Evo. Designed and built in France, this compact GT aims to combine the agility needed for urban commuting with the comfort and stability expected for longer, intercity travel.

Performance and Engineering: The PowerMotion Engine

The Pulsion Evo is powered by a liquid-cooled 125cc single-cylinder engine from the brand’s PowerMotion family. This unit is tuned to deliver 13.2 hp (9.9 kW) and 12 Nm of torque, enabling a smooth and brisk performance with a top speed of 115 km/h. Peugeot highlights its fuel efficiency; with an 11.1-litre fuel tank, the scooter boasts an exceptional claimed range of up to 440 km, positioning it as one of the longest-legged options in the class.

For stability, the chassis features a 37 mm telescopic front fork and dual rear shock absorbers. Braking is handled by an ABS-assisted system, and the large 14 -inch front and 13-inch rear wheels are fitted with wide tires to ensure confidence-inspiring grip in various weather conditions.

Connectivity and Technology: Inspired by Peugeot Cars

The Pulsion Evo introduces high-end technology inspired by its automotive counterpart, the Peugeot i-Cockpit. The scooter is equipped with the Peugeot i-Connect system, featuring a full-color TFT display positioned in a “head-up” riding position for minimal distraction.

This advanced system connects to the rider’s smartphone via the Peugeot Motocycles app, offering key features:

  • Integrated GPS Navigation: Turn-by-turn navigation is discreetly displayed on the dash.
  • Notifications: Riders can receive call and SMS notifications (while stationary).
  • Smart Key: Includes a keyless ignition system and a “Find-Me” function to flash the lights and easily locate the scooter.
  • Safety Feature: The scooter also incorporates an automatic hazard warning light activation under emergency braking.

Comfort and Practicality: A Class Leader in Storage

The design emphasizes maximum convenience for the daily commute. Peugeot claims the Pulsion Evo offers the best-in-class storage, with a cavernous 45-litre under-seat compartment capable of holding one full-face helmet and one jet helmet. Passenger comfort has also been prioritized with what is described as “best-in-class” space and ergonomics.

Two Versions for Different Commuters

The new model is available in two distinct configurations to suit different rider needs:

  1. Pulsion Evo (Standard): This version offers a more dynamic and sporty aesthetic.
  2. Pulsion Evo Urban: Focused on the serious commuter, this model comes equipped with a tall windscreen for enhanced weather protection and a 35-litre color-matched top box with an integrated passenger backrest as standard.

Launch Details and Warranty

The Peugeot Pulsion Evo launch is scheduled for the first quarter of 2026 in the European market. Peugeot is backing its new model with a substantial 4-year or 60,000 km warranty across Europe, the UK, Norway, and Switzerland. While an official price has not been finalized for the Evo models, it is expected to be competitive with other premium 125 cc maxi-scooters.
