TRIUMPH UNLEASHED: 2026 MODERN CLASSICS RECEIVE MAJOR CHASSIS, TECH & COMFORT UPGRADES
Triumph Motorcycles has officially unveiled its significantly updated 2026 Modern Classics lineup, integrating cutting-edge Retro Motorcycle Tech and engineering enhancements across the board. The biggest news centers on the heavily revised New Triumph Scrambler 900 and key Triumph Bonneville Updates to models like the Bobber and T120. This extensive refresh focuses on dramatically improving rider safety, comfort, and dynamic performance.
The All-New 2026 Scrambler 900: Sharper, Smarter, Still Soulful
The 2026 Scrambler 900 receives the most profound updates, moving the model significantly closer to the capability of its 1200cc sibling with a truly new foundation.
- Performance Hardware: The bike features a reinforced new chassis design, complemented by a lighter, cast aluminium swingarm. Suspension sees a major upgrade with beefy Showa USD forks (upside-down) replacing the conventional units, paired with preload-adjustable twin Showa piggyback shocks at the rear. This setup promises improved agility and control on any terrain.
- Braking and Safety: Stopping power is dramatically boosted by a new radial four-piston caliper gripping a larger 320mm front disc, now with Radial Brakes. Crucially, the Scrambler 900 finally gains the electronic safety of an IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit), enabling Lean-Sensitive ABS and Cornering Traction Control for confidence in all conditions.
- Look and Tech: The updated styling is refined with a more angular fuel tank, full LED lighting, and a new cockpit featuring an integrated TFT display. This new look is complemented by lightweight aluminium rims and an added USB-C charging port.
Triumph Bonneville Updates: Range, Comfort & Connectivity
Key upgrades roll out across the rest of the 2026 Triumph Modern Classics family, focusing on practicality and enhanced rider convenience.
- Cruisers Get Extended Range: The Bonneville Bobber and Speedmaster both receive the highly requested 2026 Bobber Large Tank (growing to 14 litres / 3.7 gallons) for extended riding range.
- Enhanced Comfort: The Bobber receives a wider, more generously padded floating seat, while the Speedmaster gains broader rider/pillion seats and straighter handlebars for a more relaxed riding position. Both 1200cc cruisers now come with lighter aluminium rims.
- Standardized Rider Aids: The entire Bonneville range (T100, T120, Bobber, Speedmaster) now benefits from the IMU system, providing Lean-Sensitive ABS and Cornering Traction Control as standard safety features.
- Premium Convenience: Cruise Control is now standard across all 1200cc models (T120, Bobber, Speedmaster) and available as an accessory on the T100. All models receive a new full LED headlight and a convenient USB-C charging port.
