While we can’t claim that this will be the exact specification of the new bike, we can assume that Honda is planning a cruiser styled motorcycle with the same engine from the Rebel.

The other possibility is the 1100 Spirit, but seeing how the Rebel is a naked bike and looks like more of a full-blown cruiser, it seems wrong.

Of course, there’s also the matter of that engine – Could this get an option for fuel injection? Should Honda stick with carbs?

We’re not sure right now, but we’re excited to see what they’ll bring to the table.

It’s hard to say whether this would be like an all-new CB1100 or a modified version of the Rebel 1100.

It’s genuine, we’re not sure if Honda will use the same engine and power, but this is an indication you can bet there will be a new CB1100 in the future.

With competition in the cruiser bike market getting more robust, we may see Honda updating their current models before making a new one.

It means CB1100 fans will have to wait for a long time to get their hands on one unless they import it from Japan or get it from the US, which is unlikely.

However, if you read through the exciting design elements of the Honda CB1100, you can see that this new bike could quickly begin a new family of Honda cruisers.

Hawk

A source familiar with the release said Honda is “working on a CB1100”. The bike will be a modern take on the popular CB1100 of the 1980s and 1990s.

The model should be powered by an updated Honda Africa Twin Unicam 1084cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine that makes 102 horsepower and can also be paired with Honda’s dual-clutch transmission (DCT)

While no one is sure what will come out of this patent, we know that Honda is increasing the number of patents they file.

Apart from the CB1100, As of 2017, Honda has filed several other patents (over 5000, Source: Economictimes) for motorcycles, which may have increased by now.

Despite no official announcement from Honda, the sources from Young Machine are confident that this bike will happen.

Despite the lack of a statement, we can only hope it will since another nimble cruiser motorcycle is in line with what Honda’s rivals are currently offering.

With this in mind, could we see a new CB1100 by 2023? Only time will tell!
