Ducati has brought the new V2 and V4 SP on the motorcycle scene.

The first thing sets the V2 apart from other Streetfighter models is its styling. It features what Ducati calls “a styled-to-look-fast” look to distinguish it from the V4 by definition. 

If you’re looking for aggressive stance, then you’ve come to the right place. The resculpted tank, frame rails, side cover, bulges all help to give this bike a tremendous attitude. However, it comes with an even more striking design feature: its tail section.

The Ducati Streetfighter V4 SP represents a different approach to the consumer brand. The Streetfighter V4 family underlines the “Ducati Sport” repositioning. And enables an even stronger connection to the race track while maintaining the “street-ness” of the motorcycle. And it is an absolute ripper. 

Design plays a massive role in this new generation of new nakeds. And the Ducati Streetfighter V2 and V4 SP is no exception. Ducati says the bike was designed with “pure muscularity, simplicity and riding pleasure.” The Streetfighter family has grown beyond just a machine.

Streetfighter V2

The new Streetfighter V2 arrives with a 955 cc Superquadro V2 motor, and it calibrates to 153 horsepower at 10,750 rpm and 74.8 lb-ft of torque at 9,000 rpm. Supported by a 6-speed transmission with Ducati Quick Shift EVO 2 up and down. The new V2 weighs 200 kgs ( 441 ) pounds.

There is an aluminium single-sided swingarm on the rear.While on the front, we see the 43mm fully adjustable Showa big piston fork with a fully adjustable Sachs monoshock.

Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tires support the pair of 17inch alloy wheels while the braking duties are performed by 320mm semi-floating brake discs.And radially-mounted Brembo Monobloc M4.32 four-piston callipers on the front, while the opposite end has 245mm single disc paired with a two-piston Brembo calliper.

Sachs steering and Bosch cornering ABS EVO comes as standard.

Deciding which is the best bike Ducati makes is a tough ask. The firm has an outstanding range.

And naked machines with different engine capacities and electronic rider aids.And that’s before you even get into the Ducati range: the flag-bearers for all things strange and wonderful. 

The latest model to join the ranks is the Streetfighter V4 SP.A new variant on the top of the Streetfighter range.

Streetfighter V4 SP

A 1,103cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 powerplant governs the V4 SP. And makes 208 hp at 13,000 rpm and 90.7 lb-ft of torque at 9,500 rpm supported by an aluminium made 9-disc STM EVO-SBK dry clutch.

The new V2 SP weighs 195 kgs ( 432 ) pounds. We also see the carbon fibre wheels on the Streetfighter V4 SP.

The bike arrives with Ducati Electronic Suspension EVO. As for the suspension has Öhlins all the time, with a NIX-30 fork, TTX36 rear shock absorber. And on the front, we see Öhlins steering damper.

Brakes are Brembo semi-floating discs 330 mm on front supported by radially-mounted Brembo Stylema R monobloc callipers. On the opposite end, we see a 245 mm single disc two-piston Brembo calliper.

Electronics has the wheelie control, power launch, wheelie control, ABS EVO, engine brake control, quick shift up and down and traction as standard.

Further, it gets the full LEDs, adjustable aluminium rider footpegs, carbon fibre front mudguard, self-cancelling indicators, carbon fibre heel guard.

The Ducati Streetfighter V4 SP shine as one of the most approachable models in this super naked segment.And the introduction of this new, higher-spec model is sure to excite performance-minded enthusiasts.

As for the bike price, the new Streetfighter V2 arrives at $16,995, while the Streetfighter V4 SP retails at $35,500 in the US.
