The name of the scooter, Mission 125, is no coincidence. This model aims directly at the 125cc market and targets novice riders experiencing their first time on two wheels.

Malaguti also keeps this model in its lineup to continue drawing in young European customers.

The release of a new Mission, in a refreshed colour palette no less, could have proven to be a challenge for the company considering the current economic situation over in Italy.

The Mission 125 arrives fully equipped to be a daily commuter and a weekend cruiser. It will fit the bill for those who enjoy hitting up their favourite twisty road or two.

While small in displacement, Malaguti seems to have found a good balance between power and weight, with early reports finding it to handle surprisingly well given its size.

But what’s so special about Mission 125? First of all, it’s made for novice riders, or at least ones more familiar with driving two-wheeled machines.

Specs

The powerband of this sporty scooter comes designed to be sporty with 124cc, single-cylinder four-stroke engine, liquid-cooled producing a torquey 12.2 horsepower at 9,500 RPMs with 95 km/h as top speed.

All that twist comes on relatively early in the powerband, which should feel suitable to newer riders acclimating themselves to the controls of a motorized two-wheeler.
