Europe has many small motorcycle brands make riding fun and easy for everyone. Some of these brands start in Europe, but they often get their bikes built in China. One such brand is Leonard. They are based in Spain and make retro-style motorcycles look custom-made.
The Cool New Lobo 450
Leonart’s bikes are popular because they look old-fashioned but are easy for beginners to ride. Their latest model is called the Lobo 450, which means “wolf” in Spanish. This new bike looks like it was inspired by famous British motorcycles. Some people even say it looks more like a Triumph bike than Triumph’s own new models!
The designers paid close attention to the bike’s details. Its strong, sporty look might remind you of the Triumph Thruxton. The Lobo 450 also comes with thick, upside-down front forks and modern wire-spoke wheels, giving it a premium feel. From a distance, you’ll notice the bike has a flat line from the head to the tail, which gives it a sporty, scrambler look.
Modern Engine with a Retro Touch
The Lobo 450’s engine looks classic but hides modern technology. If you look closely, you’ll see a slim radiator on the front of the frame. This means the engine is liquid-cooled, even though it has fake cooling fins to give it an old-fashioned look. There’s even a fake carburettor under the fuel tank to make the bike look like it’s from an older time
Does It Ride as Good as It Looks?
Leonart says the Lobo 450 isn’t just about looks—it’s also built to perform. The bike has a 446cc parallel-twin engine, giving it enough power for beginners and more experienced riders. It produces 37 horsepower and 30 pound-feet of torque. This places the Lobo 450 in Europe’s A2 license category, which means it’s perfect for new riders.
The bike also comes with a six-speed gearbox, allowing it to cruise at highway speeds effortlessly. This makes it suitable not just for city rides but also for longer trips. But with any new bike, it’s essential to consider how well it will hold up over time.
Built in China: Should You Worry?
Like many other bikes made in China, the Lobo 450 looks great on paper. It has a stylish design and some good features. However, because it’s a new model, we don’t know how reliable it will be in the long run. Many people like to wait and see how a new motorcycle performs over time before deciding to buy one.
Will the Lobo 450 Compete with Other Bikes?
The Lobo 450 is entering a market total of established retro-style bikes. Some well-known brands already have strong models in this segment. While the Lobo looks fantastic and has impressive features, it still has to prove it can compete. Only time will tell if this new bike from Leonart will become a favorite among riders.
