MG Motor India is all set to launch a new special edition of its flagship SUV, the Gloster, in India. The new variant, the ‘Black Storm’ edition, is expected to hit the markets on May 29, 2023.
SUV
The Gloster Black Storm edition is believed to be based on the 4×4 variant. The SUV will be finished in an all-black colour scheme with red highlights on the bumpers, ORVMs, and along the sides. It will also feature a special ‘Black Storm’ badge. The all-black treatment has also been replicated on the interior, with black upholstery and red ambient lighting.
Turbo
The MG Gloster comes with a 2.0-litre diesel engine in two states of tune – a single turbo version with 161 BHP and 375 Nm and a twin-turbo unit that puts out 215 BHP and 480 Nm. The latter comes with a shift-on-fly 4WD system. An 8-speed automatic transmission is offered as standard across both engine tunes.
In recent news, MG has discontinued the entry-level Super variant of the Gloster. The SUV is now available in Sharp & Savvy trims.
