The intense, excitable Italian thrilled fans with his unpredictable racing style. Often overtaking other riders down the straights. The death of Simoncelli in 2011 at Sepang sent shockwaves through the sport.

It was indeed a devastating time for the fans and his fellow competitors and supporters within the paddock. The void left by Simoncelli led many to wonder if anyone could fill his place. However, it is still a question.

In 2008, Marco “Sic” Simoncelli captured the 250cc World Championship with a victory at Sepang. The achievement was extraordinary, considering that Simoncelli had dominated the season for the Metis Gilera team.

Simoncelli was killed during the Sepang MotoGP race. And producers of the new documentary Sic hope to reignite interest in Simoncelli’s short but filled-with-incredible achievements career with their film.
