Bajaj-F250

Bajaj Auto has finally introduced the Pulsar 250 F in India. The motorcycle joins the N250 naked roadster, launched at the same time.

The quarter-litre Pulsar series comprises two variants – the N250 naked roadster and the F250 semi-faired motorcycle.

The Pulsar series is Bajaj’s flagship line-up of products, which has evolved continuously over its two-decade-old history.

With the new F250 Pulsar launch, Bajaj claims to have repositioned the model to appeal to a broader customer base by creating a sharper semi-faired motorcycle.

The Pulsar F250 is an entirely different motorcycle compared to its other Pulsars.

Powerplant

The Pulsar F250 is the highest displacement Pulsar motorcycle from Bajaj Auto. Built with a 249.07cc, single-cylinder, the oil-cooled powerplant calibrates to 24.1bhp of maximum power at 8,750rpm and 21.5Nm of peak torque 6,500rpm.

Assist and slipper clutch supports the five-speed gearbox.

Design

The new Pulsar offers a list of new features that are missing from the other models. Here are some of the top 5 highlights of the new Pulsar F250:

The Bajaj Pulsar F250’s semi-fairing and windscreen contribute to its rider and pillion ergonomics and comfort and are intended for long-distance touring.

The new Pulsar’s aggressive yet sleek looks complement a 14-litre muscular tank with Red Racing paint as the exterior.

A sports step-up seat, new taillight, dual-tone engine cowl and twin-barrel exhaust ensure the design elements are at par. Further, unlike Pulsar NS, it comes with alloy wheels.

Bajaj offers a single Red Racing paint scheme; however, we hope to see more colour options in the future.

Electronics

The front headlamp features a full-LED headlamp unit, while the rear uses a split LED arrangement.

It gives the motorcycle a futuristic look while also ensuring no dark spots when you steer in a particular direction. The improvement partly justifies the premium pricing of the Pulsar.

Further, the F250 has a semi-digital console that shows vital information like fuel economy, gears and more. The safety comprises single-channel ABS.

Suspension

The motorcycle gets an all-new suspension setup with 37mm telescopic forks at the front and a mono-shock unit at the back. A 300mm disc brake at the front and a 230mm disc brake at the rear, while safety nets include ABS.

The motorcycle also arrives with 17-inch alloy wheels with 100/80-section tyres at the front and 130/70-section tyres at the rear. The bike weighs 164 kgs.

Cost

The new F250 arrives with a price tag of Rs 1.40 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
