The new Street Triple R arrives on Indian shores and will retail at Rs. 8.84 lakhs (ex-showroom).
Due to COVID pandemic Triumph, India had to launch the via digital event.
Aesthetically we don’t see much of difference when compared with RS.
So what do we see?
The present is a fresh fuel tank, LED DRLs, sports step-up seats, all-new bodywork. The LCS dash, with programmable gear change lights.
The electronic package gets three riding modes Road, Sport and Rain. Analogue tachometer, traction control and ride by wire. The R also gets the Assist clutch and Quick shifter.
The R weights just 168 kg dry and comes with the 17.4-litre fuel tank.
The significant part you get two-seat versions one comes with 825mm and the other with 780mm.
R shares multiple components with RS; however, the main difference is power.
The 765cc inline 3 cylinder of R is capable of producing 118Ps at 12,000 RPM and 79 Nm of peak torque at 9350 RPM.
R also gets other goodies like the Brembos on the front and rear with 310 floating discs and 220 mm discs single-piston respectively.
Showa piggybacks at the rear and the adjustable Showa 41mm at the front perform the suspension duties.
Matt Silver Ice and Sapphire black are two paint schemes with aluminium silver and diablo red decals, red rear subframe and of course the red wheel paint by hand.
Triumph offers more than 60 accessories for R.
