In December 2019, we had published about the upcoming Triumph Tiger 900. Now we see Triumph Japan officially communicated the date to unveil the new Tiger 900 from the beginning of April (scheduled), a successor to the middle-sized adventure “Tiger 800”.

The lineup includes four models: the off-road-oriented “Rally” and “Rally Pro,” and the “GT” and “GT Pro” for a comfortable long ride.

The Tiger 900 is equipped with a newly designed water-cooled 888cc triple engine that generates a maximum output of 95.2ps / maximum torque of 87Nm.

In addition to complying with the new emission regulation Euro 5, the peak torque will be improved by about 10% compared to the Tiger 800, providing a torque driving.

Also, a lightweight new modular frame equipped with a bolt-on rear frame and pillion hangers is adopted. The dry weight is 194kg to 201kg, which is about 5kg lighter than the previous model.

The suspension is equipped with Brembo’s high-performance brake caliper “STYLE MA”, which demonstrates excellent braking performance.

The GT Pro model is equipped with an electronically controlled rear suspension.

Preload and damping settings can be adjusted from the dedicated menu on the TFT display. It is equipped with a sizeable 20-liter fuel tank for extended riding.

Also, the new technologies, including a newly designed 7-inch TFT display, cornering ABS, cornering traction control, and Triumph Shift Assist, which allows the gear to be changed smoothly without disengaging the clutch, are introduced to support safe and comfortable riding.

Available in pure white and sapphire black, Colossi Red for GT / GT Pro and Matt Khaki Green for Rally / Rally Pro. Set 3 colors for each model. The price ranges from 1.58 million yen to 1.86 million yen.
