TVS Raider Racing Special Edition
The TVS Raider Racing Special Edition is a new variant of the Raider 125 motorcycle launched by TVS in Colombia. It comes with several updates in terms of cosmetics and mechanics. The design of the bike remains the same as the standard model, but it features a California Grey paint scheme.
The fuel tank, part front fender, and headlight cowl are painted white, while the rear side panels and those below the fuel tank extensions are covered in grey. The wheels are red, providing a contrasting look to the overall theme.
Regarding safety features, TVS has added handlebar guards, an engine crash guard, calliper protectors, and a phone holder. These additions aim to enhance safety and convenience for the rider.
Mechanically, the Raider Racing Special Edition is powered by the same 124.79cc single-cylinder engine coupled with a five-speed gearbox. However, this variant produces slightly more power than the Indian model, generating 12.5bhp and 11.5Nm of torque. The motor remains unchanged apart from this improvement.
The bike also retains the same TFT console with smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth. The console provides information such as a speedometer, trip meter, odometer, fuel level readout, gear position indicator, and tachometer.
The hardware components, including telescopic front forks, a mono-shock, a front disc brake, and a rear drum brake, remain unchanged from the standard model.
The TVS Raider Racing Special Edition is priced at COP 81,199,999 in Colombia, approximately Rs. 1.51 lakh without taxes. For comparison, the top-spec variant of the Raider 125 in India, the Raider SX, is priced at Rs. 1,00,820 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
