KTM is a bombshell brand that brings us bigger bikes, world records, and incredible racing experiences.

Word leaked from their office will showcase their latest 890 Duke on February 22. So we can only wait with growing anticipation. What could be coming our way?

After a two-year hiatus, the 790 Duke arrived in 2018, only to be replaced two years later in 2020 by an improved 890 Duke R. Now, we’re on 2022’s doorstep, and the larger displacement 890 Duke arrives refreshed with 2022 890 Duke GP.

KTM has confirmed that a revised 2022 890 Duke R will be unveiled on February 7, 2022

The Austrian manufacturer used its social media platforms to share that the model was coming. And it has since released a teaser on its official Instagram handle. Keep reading for an in-depth look at what fans can expect for 2022.

The R trim gets high-end components like WP Apex suspension and Brembo Stylema callipers.

What to expect?

The firm has released a teaser image with the model set in an urban backdrop.Suggesting it is not as stripped-down as the 890 Duke.

But just like all of KTM’s recent bikes. This one will come with an RC feel and share characteristics with a long-distance weapon, the RC8 V-Twin.

Of course, fans of the Austrian brand have been waiting for the 890 Duke in its revised format, and every day they wait, they get more and more anxious.

Of course, we know that KTM is worth the wait, so when the company released teaser materials of a sleek naked bike in orange and black colouring, fans knew that it had to be one hell of an offering.

Fighting fit after the successful debut of its RC 390 and RC 8R machines, KTM seems to be wasting no time in teasing us with its next GP-inspired naked bike. After posting photos of the MotoGP-spec RC8C at several Italian racetracks.

However, we won’t see the GP-style bodywork on the naked bike. Although the 2022 890 Duke R’s won’t look as mean as RC8C, it is possible that some of these features could eventually find their way onto the street, like the dedicated airbox, ultra-light aluminium Dymag wheelset, steel tubular frame, racing air filter, composite subframe fuel tank, LC8c parallel-twin engine with 128-hp, and GP-style livery.

However, we will still wait for KTM to reveal the details in the coming days.
