Due to the outbreak of the Corona pandemic. Hero MotoCorp has come up with an extension for one week for the manufacturing facilities across the nation. 

However, all the operations performed at its Global Parts Centre (GPC) in Neemrana. And its R&D facility, the Centre of Innovation and Technology (CIT), is shut until May 16, 2021

Initially, Hero MotoCorp has temporarily suspended its manufacturing facilities from April 22, 2021, to May 1, 2021, to restrain the spread of the COVID-19 virus. 

Since the situation has worsened. There is an announcement made for the second extension after the first one. 

For the employees working for the corporate offices. The company had already allowed them to work from home.

The company says the situation is continuously monitored. And all will soon resume all the operations with a more excellent pace as the condition improves with the ease of the lockdown limitations.  

In April 2021, Hero MotoCorp sold 3,72,285 units of the two-wheelers incorporating domestic and exports. 

The count lesser than the usual monthly sales of the company because of the second wave of the pandemic. 

Considering the same month last year. It was worst as the company manufactured zero vehicles and dispatched zero to the dealers.
