For decades, Bajaj Chetak has been synonymous with the spirit of adventure in India’s two-wheeler industry. Taking inspiration from the retro avatar of this cult scooter. Bajaj presents two variants of the motorcycle with modern features. Including a fully-digital console and a new design scheme. 

Now, Indian two-wheeler manufacturer Bajaj Auto has opened bookings for its electric scooter, the Chetak, in Goa. Bajaj Auto launched the electric Chetak back in 2019. You can book the electric scooter via the company’s official website for a token amount of Rs 2,000

The booking will allow the buyer to select and reserve the desired variant. The company has listed the Premium variant, the top-end model of the electric scooter, for Goa. And it arrives at Rs 1,44,625 (ex-showroom).

Bajaj will sell electric Chetak via its KTM outlet present in Mapusa, Goa. The Bajaj Chetak is the electric scooter in the country to be powered by an internally-developed motor. The electric scooter gets two electric variants: Urbane and Premium. 

These two new variants are primarily aimed at the urban youth.Who prefer to travel in smaller cities and make short commutes.

Both variants arrive with a 3.8kW motor and have a non-removable 3kWh IP67 lithium-ion battery pack. The Bajaj claims a top speed of 70kmph and a range of 95km (in Eco mode). However, the differentiating factor between these variants is the shades and hardware.

The motorcycle manufacturer has been in the news of late. Due to its plans to host a one-off event in Goa later this month. As part of the same, it will launch an Urbane and Premium trim version.

The Urbane gets two shades of white and yellow on the other hand, and Premium arrives in four shades red, blue, hazelnut, blue, all in metallic finish.

As for the hardware, both ends of Urbane gets drum brakes while the front end of Premium gets the disc brake.
