The post indicates the contract between Aprilia and Bradley Smith did not go ahead. With Smith staying out, we see the potential in Lorenzo Savadori.

With Iannone being out Aprilia has already published its potential 2021 MotoGP squad with Aleix Espargaro as its official rider. Followed by either Lorenzo Savadori or Bradley Smith.
However, with Smith out of contention, we see Savadori taking his place. WIth the 2021 MotoGP just about to begin Smith was linked with multiple MotoGP manufacturers like KTM, Aprilia and Yamaha.
He was also linked with Ten Kate Racing team and we do see the R1 is still present for 2021 MotoGP season if Smith wants to race.
