Honda has finally revealed the much anticipated CB200X.It was previously rumoured to be based on the CBR250R.
It was recently spotted testing with a larger fuel tank, taller windscreen, crash bars, and other adventure-oriented accessories.
The Honda CB200X is essentially an old-school throwback to Hondas of the past, which harkens back to the classic Super Cub.

Here’s how it stacks up against the competition.
Many companies have been branching out, re-thinking, and revamping their product lineups in recent years.
Honda has been busy introducing many performance-oriented models that put the fun back into motorcycling without sacrificing practicality.
Affordable and practical
While there are still questions about where the CB200X will fit in, it’s clear from Honda’s teaser images that the larger ADVs inspire the machine.
The Honda CB200X was designed to be an affordable, practical commuter bike for the city.
The larger bikes are more challenging to park and carry around in crowded conditions.
Honda came up with a 200cc motorcycle that looks like its bigger siblings. Also, Honda has equipped the CB200X with ample storage capacity to carry loads of groceries or other cargo.
From what was known about it at the time.Honda was finally producing a bike that offered good power and handling in addition to off-road capability; a long time coming.
The CB200X features an 184cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder motor, with Honda’s patented PGM-FI technology.
It churns out an adequate 17 horsepower from the Hornet 2.0. These figures are pretty respectable for their 147 kerb weight.
The Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) made sure the new CB200X is low, RS 1,44,500 (ex-showroom, Gurugram), which we feel is an excellent deal.
Quote
The Managing Director and CEO of HMSI, Atsushi Ogata, said. “It is my great pleasure to introduce a new motorcycle, inspired by Honda’s legendary CB legacy.
CB200X gives today’s youngsters a riding experience that pushes them to explore more.
It offers a perfect riding companion for their daily city rides and short weekend getaways beyond the cityscapes.”
Perhaps the biggest question that boggles the mind regarding the Honda CB200X is its role in the lineup.
First of all, it’s not based on the same architecture as its bigger sibling, and second of all.You need to change its riding position to make it more comfortable than an upright cruiser.
Paint Schemes
The CB200X arrives in three paint schemes earl Nightstar Black, Matte Selene Silver Metallic and Sports Red.
Competitors
The new CB200X will go head-on with Royal Enfield Himalayan.Hero XPulse 200, the KTM 250 Adventure and BMW G 310 GS.
