There is a new Husqvarna on the block, and it’s called the Svartpilen 125. For those who aren’t aware of the name, ‘Svartpilen’ translates to a black arrow, which pretty much says it all. 

Yes, you read that right. The 2022 Husqvarna Svartpilen 125 is a KTM 125 Duke-based scrambler-style offering. And it aims at expanding the brand’s global footprint with its offering for an international market. 

The Austrian manufacturer’s wholly-owned subsidiary has showcased the motorcycle. As we reported earlier.

The Husqvarna Svartpilen 125 is an integral part of the Husqvarna and KTM product line up, as it marked the beginning of the commencing collaboration between Austrian firm KTM and its Swedish sister brand. 

Riding over the same chassis, the two companies made a series of changes to make this bike design distinct from both the KTM counterpart and similar products by competitors.

Husqvarna has just launched the 2022 Svartpilen 125. Although there aren’t many definite changes. This little motorcycle has seen a few upgrades in style, performance, ergonomics and usability.

The new colours and graphics are the most significant change in the new KTM 125 Duke-based Husqvarna Svartpilen 125. 

The motorcycle also gets a few additional colour options, possibly for the same price. The changes are based on market feedback.And are part of KTM’s ongoing attempt to deliver a more affordably priced motorcycle.

It will enable increased sales volume, which will, in turn, sustain production volumes.Which is good news for customers in the long run.

125cc engine

It arrives with a 125cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder powerplant.Which it shares with KTM 125 Duke. The 125cc engine makes 15bhp of power and 12Nm of peak torque with the six-speed transmission.

The model stands tall on 17-inch wheels equipped with sporty spoke wheels and knobby tyres. WP inverted telescopic forks upfront. And a mono-shock at the rear take suspension duties. Brakes come from ByBre callipers supported by Bosch ABS.

Husqvarna has unveiled the Svartpilen 125 in selected countries. And further Husqvarna expects the new 125cc motor to deliver excellent performance with its compact design, light chassis and punchy powerplant. However there is no word when it will arrive in India.
