Tinker Hatfield, the man who has been designing revolutionary sneakers since the days of the Oregon Trail, has been riding motorcycles for years.
But since his first ride, he’s been on a bike every chance he gets. As soon as you see Hatfield at One Motorcycle Show tonight, he probably won’t have been off a bike in a week.
Five years after co-founding One Motorcycle Show, Thor Drake has lined up an impressive list of sponsors for the 6th annual show.
Including Vice President of Design Tinker Hatfield—the designer behind iconic Nike Air Jordan shoes. And you could see Hatfield’s extraordinary custom 2021 Zero SR/F.
“To craft their vision, Tinker Hatfield and Thor Drake drew from the world of aviation”. “
The resulting story conjures avant-garde aircraft features with a hand-hammered aluminium finish.” It’s true, the Zero SR/F’s riveted aluminium fuel tank won’t simply punch performance targets it will give an altogether different look”.
There are no denying that custom motorcycles are more than just motorcycles anymore. They’re rolling pieces of art. It seems like every year, the level of craftsmanship is pushed just one notch higher.
And when you look at the Zero SR/F, that’s evident. A collaboration between designer Tinker Hatfield and builder Thor Drake, this bike is unlike anything else out there today.
Custom
Of course, that was the whole point. The SR/F is intended for racers who aren’t satisfied with the expected results. Which are reflected in this custom build.
What happens when you mix one of Nike’s most iconic shoe designers, Tinker Hatfield, with Harlem’s custom bike builders, See See Motorcycles.
You get an electric gold and teal motorcycle with matching gold handlebar ends and bobbins.
They made sure they did not play with the drivetrain or electric motor. However Brembos and Ohlins meant better-stopping power and excellent suspension.
It takes an exceptional mind to envision a motorcycle that stands out from any crowd. The Zero SR/F may be the gorgeous motorcycle ever created.
Designer Hatfield and Drake knew this better than anyone. They are best known for creating footwear for Nike, and Drake has a knack for motorcycles.
The custom SR/F will go on auction at the Bonhams event on October 21, 2021, and the funds will go to Friends of Columbia County.
