Characterized as a “Sport-Tourer”, the 650GT Sport is inspired by Italian design and tuned for American tastes.
The result is a motorcycle as comfortable on twisty back roads as on highways, with a performance that’s not too rowdy for novice riders but suited to a more spirited ride for those who prefer to ride it like a sportbike.
CFMoto now has upgraded its midsize 650GT tourer to the 2022 model. The 650cc tourer has the same powerplant as the 650MT Adv and 650 NK.
However, the 649cc, liquid cool, para twin power plant makes 41.5 kW (56.5 hp) at 8,250 min-1.
The 650GT offers a modern motorcycle platform and sophisticated styling with an emphasis on comfort and practicality.
Base colour combinations range in Nebula Black. CFMoto says the 650GT offers budget-level power, requiring more significant rider input than some “more powerful” motorcycles.
The seat height is set at 795 mm, while ground clearance stands at about 180 mm.
The fuel capacity of the engine is 19 litres, which is placed in the middle of the frame. The motorcycle weighs 213 kilograms (469 pounds), including 18 Km / L recorded fuel consumption.
The 650GT, like all CFMoto motorcycles, shares similar styling to their adventure machines.
It comes equipped with tall tubeless tyres, grabs rails, handguards, and a tall windshield, all of which makes the motorcycle more suitable for touring on rougher roads.
It has twin headlamps on either side of the radiator shroud giving it a typical “adventure bike” look. At the same time, the motorcycle is quite comfortable.
So what’s new?
- The touring machine gets certain upgrades with more luggage space, and the side panniers arrive as a standard.
- CFMoto has also introduced a Nebula Black livery, which we don’t see on the other bright CFMoto machines.
- Further, CFMoto has introduced two USB chargers.
Apart from these three minor upgrades, the machine has the same performance specs and dimensions.
The new 2022 CFMoto 650GT arrives at Euro 6,440 ($7,471). Apart from 650GT, we will see seven new models in the US: Papio 125,300 NK, 300SS,650NK, 650 MT,700 CL-X Classic and 700 CL-X Sport.
