Founded in 2015 by fast living minds with true passion for design and individuality. helmade is here to revolutionize your idea of buying helmets. A unique, personalized and handcrafted product, that is designed by you. Therefore they have developed the world’s only online helmet design tool. A website that allows you to design your helmet in 3D and to order it online.
There are about individual helmets of any kind. Custom helmet design shouldn’t be something for a few. That’s why they are on a mission to make custom helmet design more accessible for many people. Our company is based in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. There you can find our design studio and our production facilities. That’s where the magic happens and where helmade think about the future of helmet design.
In 2018 they came up with our most successful helmet design specials so far. At last year’s European motorcycle festival in Leonberg near Stuttgart they have shown-up at the 1/8 mile starting line with a unique concept for a bike and helmet design. Over the last months a dark design concept in bold neon noir style was born: helmade NOIR.
Based on the incredible feedback they received from many people around the globe, they want to make 100 limited helmade NOIR Bell Bullitt motorcycle helmets fully customizable by you online in our 3D helmet design configurator. You will be able to choose out of various colors and effect pallets and add your own signature to make it yours. Additionally they will incorporate a limited numbering starting with 1 of 100.
Inspired by movies like ‚Blade Runner‘ or ‚Ghost In The Shell‘ the young helmet design company helmade has completely reworked a race-track built Ducati 999S from the Berlin custom builder Vengine and, together with a custom Bell Bullitt, transformed it into a cineastic highlight. As you would expect it from a company focussed on helmet design, the helmet is unique worldwide.
The idea was born from helmade’s DNA in motorsport. The expressive, two halfed eye port visor is a tribute to one of the first Formula 1 racing helmet from Bell, the Bell Star XF GP. The visor was individually manufactured out of Carbon and worked into the helmet paintwork.
The Team
They have founded helmade in October 2015. The core team of helmade contains of three people. Christian Möhring, helmade CEO who brings in expertise in Mass Customization Business Models and Brand Management (former Nike & IKEA). Sabrina Möhring, Head of Customer Experience, overseeing all connection points to helmade customers and partners. Last but not least the creative mind Robin Metz, Head of Design, who contributes with his long-years of experience in digital design and development.
