However, recently, Norton shared the picture of the work in progress of Commando 961 Classic.
The premium cafe racer gets clip-on handlebars, rear cowl, front fly-screen and iconic round headlight as standard equipment. Selected components arrive from carbon.
It comes with 961cc, fuel-injected motor calibrates to 80 HP at 6500 rpm and 90 Nm at 5200 rpm.
The Norton Commando 961 Cafe Racer doesn’t have any direct competitors in the Indian market.
And its closest competitor, in intent, is the Triumph T120, priced at Rs 10.65 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
The T120 comes with 1200cc, Liquid-cooled, eight valves, SOHC, 270° crank angle parallel twin, which makes 80 PS / 78.9 bhp (58.8 kW) @ 6550 rpm.
