Porsche and TAG Heuer unveil two one-off 718 Cayman GT4 RS cars to honour the Carrera Panamericana road race.

  • The cars are painted in Le Mans Silver Metallic with yellow and dark grey accents, and feature a red pegasus icon on the front left wing and rear left wheel arch, respectively, to pay homage to Mobil Oil, Porsche’s racing sponsor in the ‘50s.
  • The cars are part of Porsche’s Sonderwunsch program and will not be available for sale.

  • Background: Though originating from different industries, the German automaker Porsche and Swiss watchmaker TAG Heuer have had a long-standing partnership. In their latest venture, they’ve decided to pay tribute to the Carrera Panamericana road race in Mexico with two unique vehicles.
  • Base Model: The 718 Cayman GT4 RS, is known for its lightweight design, aerodynamic features, and renowned pedigree.
  • Design:
    • Colour: Painted in Le Mans Silver Metallic.
    • Numbers: Both cars will display numbers – 152 and 154. These numbers are painted in negative relief with yellow highlights on doors and roofs.
    • Logos and Icons: The TAG Heuer logo is prominently displayed in dark grey on the cars’ hoods and spoilers. Additionally, a red pegasus icon is featured on the front left wing and rear left wheel arch for the two cars, which serves as a nod to Mobil Oil, Porsche’s racing sponsor in the 1950s.
  • Legacy & Nomenclature: Both brands have a history tied to the Carrera Panamericana. Porsche adopted the “Carrera” moniker for the 911 in the 1960s, inspired by their success in the 1950s race with the 550 Coupe. TAG Heuer’s naming of their Carrera watch was influenced by Jack Heuer’s admiration for the race after attending it.
  • Availability: These editions are exclusive one-offs, created as part of Porsche’s Sonderwunsch program. They will not be available for sale to the public.
