Triumph India will unveil the much-acclaimed Tiger 850 Sport in the media during the last couple of months.

Well, the new Tiger 850 Sport is more sport and less offroad. However, it doesn’t mean it doesn’t have offroad capabilities.

What’s new?

The base, as we know, is Tiger 900. However, there are things amended, and they are electronics. Then we see the 5-inch dash, Brembo sytlema’s for brakes, the entire lightning now is LED, the suspension comes from Marzocchi, the Traction control with deactivation mechanism.

Motor

The Tiger 850 Sport comes with T-Plane triple crank with particular 1,3,2 firing order.

The engine is 850 triple engine setup (Euro 5 compliant) which makes 85hp at 8,500rpm and 82Nm of torque at 6,500rpm.

You can also here the 850cc exhaust note. The new Tiger gets the milage of (5.2 l/100km).

Design/Chassis

A Tubular steel frame, bolt-on subframe gets support from a Twin-sided, cast aluminium swingarm. The front comes with the Marzocchi 45mm upside-down forks while on the opposite you will see Marzocchi rear suspension unit, manual preload adjustment.

The single-handed fully adjustable windscreen offers 50mm variation to reduce fatigue. The Tiger 850 Sport has a 20-litre fuel tank.

Also, for better comfort, the rider can adjust saddle in two similar ways, and the same goes with handlebars. There are two paint schemes to choose from Graphite diablo red and Graphite caspian blue.

Accessories

As far as accessories go, there are 60 official Triumph accessories and has two different pieces of luggage.

Price

In Indai the Tiger 900 GT arrives at Rs 13.7 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai). So do expect the Tiger 850 Sport to be around 11.5 lakh INR.
