In 2020, Suzuki decided to move its annual Katana Meeting online. After much deliberation, Suzuki leaders agreed that it would be best to keep the event online-only in 2021 as well.
Owing to the pandemic situation Suzuki has decided to schedule the event online.
Here is what Suzuki has to say.
“We have carefully considered the KATANA Meeting 2021 toward the actual event, but from the perspective of preventing the spread of the new coronavirus infection.
Looking forward to your cooperation in holding the KATANA Meeting 2021 with all KATANA fans from all over the country.
We have decided not to hold an outdoor event, giving top priority to the safety of everyone involved.
We apologize to everyone who has been looking forward to the event. And we appreciate your understanding.
At KATANA Meeting 2021, we planned to sell the event-limited original goods and the ” KATANA Big Flag Project “.
It will be a web-based event that will lead to the following year’s KATANA Meeting 2022 so that KATANA fans can enjoy it.

Merchandise
Further, the organizers are also looking forward to bringing the unique merchandise and that you will receive after attending the event.
Suzuki is also coming up with limited edition baseball caps and tees, and they plan to sell them online.
So Katana enthusiasts can purchase the merchandise from October 4 through 25, and part of the funds will go to the Japanese Red Cross Society as there were floods in Japan in August 2021.
Once you place the order there, there won’t be any cancellations or refunds as the merchandise is custom-made.
The application for this event is from September 24, 2021 (Friday) 17: 00-October 25, 2021 (Monday) 11:00.
And as of yesterday, September 28, Suzuki has received 304 applications. And we hope the COVID pandemic won’t affect the applicants’ motivation, and we will see more enthusiasts joining the event.
