The Yamaha YZF R15 continued to strike a chord with the Indian audience and cemented its reputation as the most sought-after performance bike.
Last year, the motorcycle was given a comprehensive update, making it even more desirable.
Yamaha gave the Yamaha YZF R15 a thorough update last year.And we couldn’t be happier with the result.
The motorcycle now sports an aggressive attitude with face-lifted fairing and low-noise design elements.
The bike received traction control and an updated console that can now connect to any smartphone via its built-in Bluetooth unit and a quick shifter (optional).
After its launch in September, the Yamaha YZF R15 V4 has become more expensive for the second time. The motorcycle has been revised to hike prices by Rs 2,000. Further to the price hike by Rs 3,000 in November.
New price
This means it has become Rs 2,000 more expensive when compared to November (since the previous hike). The latest variant-wise prices of the bike are listed below. These are ex-showroom prices.
- Metallic Red: Rs 1,72,800
- Dark Knight: Rs 1,73,800
- Racing Blue: Rs 1,77,800
- Metallic Grey (M): Rs 1,82,800
- Monster Energy (M): Rs 1,82,800
The lower size segment has always been Yamaha’s domain, with the R15 V3 being their flagship in this range. And with the new V4 gets powered by a 155 cc, single-cylinder and air-cooled engine making maximum 18.1bhp of power and 14.2Nm of peak torque.
For 2022, Yamaha gave the R15 a comprehensive update including a front portion revamp.
It includes projector headlamps and a new digital meter cluster with cool blue accents. The motorcycle still rolls on 16-inch rims wrapped in MRF FP1 tyres.
However, for 2022, things got more interesting. With Yamaha offering the CBU version of YZF R15 in Japan with significant updates to the motorcycle.
