Yamaha Motor announced on March 31 that its adventure bike “Tenere 700” has won the global design award “Red Dot Award Product Design 2020”.

The company has won the Red Dot Award for nine consecutive years since 2012.

The Tenere 700 is an adventure tourer that inherited the Tenere brand.

Which led one of the world’s toughest rallies, the Dakar, in the 1980s and 1990s. The 689cc water-cooled in-line 2-cylinder 270-degree crank engine is mounted on a lightweight body.

The elements of off-road + adventure + touring, such as a body with a high degree of freedom in riding posture, high durability, and maintainability, and high adaptability when loading luggage, are balanced at a high level.

Under the design concept of “Exciting Adventure Tenere,” a high-face that incorporates a three-piece shield in a distinctive headlight and tank expresses the spirit of adventure. The Tenere 700 wins the German design award “iF Design Award.”

The Red Dot Award is a globally prestigious design award sponsored by the North Rhine-Westphalia Design Center in Germany.
