With the Ténéré 700, Yamaha introduced a model that challenged the dominance of its Austrian rival KTM 790 Adventure in the affordable middleweight adventure bike segment.

It offered a smaller engine specially designed for off-road riding. And it was undoubtedly much more affordable than its main rival.

The two were undoubtedly evenly matched, but it was a question of which bike would find more favour among the general public.

Yamaha has released an upgraded version of its Tenere Adventure motorcycle in the European market. It’s called the Ténéré 700 World Raid.

2022 Yamaha Ténéré 700 World Raid

The ergonomics of the new-for-2022 Yamaha Ténéré 700 World Raid has improved with a flat two-piece saddle, tall and wide handlebars, and adjustable suspension settings. 

Yamaha has put three-mode flexible ABS in Tenere 700 World Raid. It also gets the upgraded 43 mm KYB units that deliver 230 mm of suspension travel, while on the rear, we see 220 mm travel. And further, the new Raid has Öhlins adjustable steering damper.

In Europe, Yamaha has just released the restyled Ténéré 700 World Raid. It comes with a 689 cc CP2 Crossplane-type parallel-twin engine that is Euro 5-compliant and produces 75 hp peak power. 

It also has a retro-chic off-road-inspired blue and black colour scheme with its off-road focused capabilities. The new Raid arrives at USD 13,108 ( 11,600 Euros).

As far as the USA and India goes, it’s not released yet.
