In September 2018 BMW unveiled a lower displacement G 310 RR concept. The concept now we may be able to see in production.
The bike is manufactured with the help of TVs in India. Yes, the same TVS who recently acquired Norton. And Europe might get this bike as well.
TVS recently unveiled its new Apache RR 310 that had similar technology as of G310, and now the BMW G 310 RR concept is similar to recently unveiled Apache RR 310.
Styling and Technology
In terms of looks and styling, the prototype is similar to BMW S 1000RR whether its exhaust or front fairing.
The G 310 R is powered with 313 cc single-cylinder that produces 34 HP and 28 Nm that and the naked is capable of going 143/h.
We expect the new single-cylinder BMW G 310 RR will be faster as compared to its siblings and may get the carbon fibre uniform.
What is interesting to see over here is the new TVS Apache RR 310 is upgraded to BS6 norms, and these norms align with EURO5 norm.
KN Radhakrishnan, President and CEO of TVS Motor Company Limited also recently said that they are working with BMW on a different motorcycle as well. It will be interesting to see what more comes out of this partnership.
The concept bike gets a carbon fibre structure more like an HP4 bike.
From the pricing point of view, we are still unsure how BMW will put a price on it. The motorcycle market after COVID-19 has become quite sensitive, and we feel BMW will price it accordingly.
