The Honda CB500F, R, and X also get Showa rear shock absorbers with adjustable preload, though the non-X version is an SFF-BP unit.
Brakes are another significant focus for all three 500s, with Bosch 9MP ABS standard across the range.
The CB500X gets 135mm of front suspension travel, which is just over 5.3 inches.
While the 2022 CB500F and CB500R features the Y Spoke aluminium alloy front wheels that are lighter. At the same time, the CB500X does get the lightweight 19-inch spoked front wheel.
Braking duties on these three bikes are performed by a 296mm dual wave brake disc on the front wheel while the opposite gets radially-mounted Nissin callipers.
The new CB500s’ design is something you’ll immediately recognize as belonging to the Honda family.
Some slight changes are in line with the latest models, including a robust and light new swingarm.
