Piaggio’s Plan
A few months ago, Piaggio India’s MD and CEO, Diego Graffi, said
“They are now looking more at this range (250-300cc). They need some time to introduce the products. But it is in our plans,”

He said, “ They confirm that the interest for the segment and what would be the market opportunity for it here in India exists.
The brand is Aprilia (and), having the engine size in the range of 150cc and 250cc.
At present, he said there is no fixed date as to when these models are arriving in the motorcycle market.

Expect the faired GPR250 to carry a price tag in the range of INR 2.5 to 3.5 Lakhs in India.
But we see the strategy is more competitive against the Royal Enfield.
However, we should also not forget the latest strategy that comes from Royal Enfield as they target 16 million women drivers from geographic areas like Kerala, Maharashtra, Goa, and Karnataka in India.
