Due to his incredible performance on the Island. Dunlop hails as one of the most influential motorcycle riders.

With the absence of races on the underused TT Mountain Course two years from now.Michael will stay with PBM and ride the Ducati Panigale V4 R superbike.

Thankfully, he will have time to get used to the bike as they have already signed him up for an upcoming race.

The 2022 Isle of Man TT season will start from May 28, 2022. Michael Dunlop will ride his motorcycle again at the Isle of Man TT. But it’ll be a completely new experience this time.

PBM Team Coordinator John Mowatt said

“We are pleased to be able to deliver on our promise and commitment to Michael, albeit two years later than we had hoped. We look forward to competing with Michael on the PBM Ducati in the big road races. And hope to continue his and our impressive list of achievements”.

If you followed racing over the last few years, you’re probably aware that Michael is also the son of late, great Joey Dunlop.

No one is more revered in British racing circles than Joey. And no other racer who has carried on his legacy like Michael.

In 2011, Michael raced a PBM Kawasaki ZX-10RR. Which shows that both PBM and Michael already have a working history together.

With 19 career wins, Michael Dunlop stands third most successful racer behind John McGuinness, having 23 victories. And Michaels’s uncle Joey Dunlop has 26 career wins.
